The Academy is being rebuilt

We are moving the courses to this new site, so they cannot be bought at the moment. The course pages show what each course will include.

Expected reopening: 15th November 2026

Already enrolled on a course? Email admin@bioconserve.org and we will make sure you keep your access.

Privacy notice

Last updated 23 October 2026. Draft wording to be reviewed before launch.

Bioconserve Environmental Consultants (“BioConserve”) runs BioConserve Academy. This notice explains what we collect and why. Contact: admin@bioconserve.org.

What we collect

  • Account: your name (printed on certificates), email and a securely hashed password.
  • Learning: lessons completed, questionnaire answers, mystery-call answers, assignment submissions and the files you upload, and reviews of them.
  • Purchases: what you bought and when. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see them.
  • Consents: newsletter opt-in, cookie choice, the EU withdrawal confirmation, and optional consents to feature your assignment or contribute recordings, each with a timestamp.
  • Coaching waitlist: your name and email, the coaching option you picked, and whether you also asked for the newsletter. We use it only to tell you when coaching launches.
  • Coaching (if you subscribe): your recordings and notes, covered by a non-disclosure agreement with Nils Bouillard personally; they are deleted automatically a set time after the session closes.

Who processes data for us

Vercel (hosting, file storage), Neon (database), Stripe (payments and tax), Mux (video), Resend (email), Kit (the newsletter if you opt in, and the coaching waitlist if you join it), Loom (coaching review videos), Google (coaching calendar), and Microsoft Clarity and Vercel Web Analytics (see below).

Cookies

Necessary cookies keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice. They do not need your consent.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools to see which pages are useful and where visitors get stuck, so we can improve the Academy.

  • Vercel Web Analytics counts page views, the pages people arrive from, and the country, browser and device type. It uses no cookies and does not identify you, so it runs for everyone.
  • Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, and anonymised session recordings and heatmaps) and, if allowed, sets cookies to link the pages of one visit. On pages behind sign-in (your account, lessons, answers, assignments, coaching, checkout or admin), the content is masked, so Clarity cannot see it. It also masks what you type into forms. Microsoft processes this data for us; see Microsoft’s privacy statement for how.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we ask before Clarity sets any cookies; without your consent it runs without cookies, treating each page view separately. Elsewhere, Clarity runs with cookies unless you opt out.

To change your choice or opt out at any time: . Blocking cookies in your browser also stops Clarity’s cookies.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion (certificates already issued remain verifiable by number unless you ask us to remove them). Write to admin@bioconserve.org.
